After church on Sunday, Levi was running outside through our rows of trees (which haven't and may not change this fall). It reminded me of the line in a favorite old hymn "How Great Thou Art" I thought the rendition shared below was perfect. "When through the woods, and forest glades I wander, And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees."
We're thankful for the warm weather allowing us to be outside more than usual for this time of year. October is one of those really busy months, something going on every weekend, but fun things!
The first weekend in October was the Virginia Mennonite Relief Sale, which I always look forward to. This year did not disappoint! It was a wonderful weekend. My sister and I spent time at the auction on Saturday. It's somewhat embarrassing to admit, but I sometimes get emotional watching people bid on items, knowing that the proceeds will benefit MCC and their efforts all over the world.
The rest our weekends in October have and will be spent catching up with family and friends and reunions and apple butter making.
