All of my open orders went out this morning! It feels so weird not to have any open orders. When asked, "What will you do during nap time, today?"
I said, "maybe I'll watch a movie!"
I didn't watch a movie, but I did watch a TV show, drank coffee, folded laundry, did the dishes, organized some of my music, and made some to do lists! I mean, I can't do nothing, right? I'm really bad at relaxing....really, not good at it.... :)
I am planning to re-open my shop for the 2nd week in January....maybe a little earlier, depending on how our holiday travels go.
Thanks for a great 2015!
I made this cheese ball yesterday for refreshments after the church Christmas play. Did you know cheese balls are really easy to make? I've been asked for my recipe, but the truth is, I don't really follow a recipe. Here's how I made this cheese ball:
Form into a ball
Roll the cheese ball in chopped pecans to coat the outside as much as you'd like. This is optional
Refrigerate until you're ready to eat.
You don't have to own a food processor to do this. Just be sure to soften your cream cheese so that it isn't too difficult to mix.
What a busy week and weekend! Week nights were filled with sewing. I'm getting closer and closer to getting all of my orders out so I can start with a clean slate after Christmas! Friday was the Christmas Parade, which Levi loved. He loves marching bands so the Royal Marching Dukes from James Madison University were a highlight for him. A birthday party yesterday and a Christmas shindig with friends tonight have made for a busy yet fun start to the Christmas season! Since I mainly work at night and during Levi's nap time, can you see why I had to put my shop on vacation? Oh, and did I mention I'm hosting the whole family on Christmas Day!!
